Tasca d'Almerita Tenuta Regaleali Sicilia IGT 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon

Tasca d'Almerita Tenuta Regaleali Sicilia IGT 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon, $47.59-$55.99, 93 points, appeared deep purple/red toward opaque ruby with a clear rim.
The aroma was pleasant subtle cedar, tobacco, black grape, and warm earth.
Near full bodied with strident tannin, fair acidity, and flavors that faithfully followed the aroma with the fruit of pomegranate, plum, and black currant.
Finished long on the trailing palate, mild spice notes and a well integrated 14% alcohol.
This is a focused and refined Cabernet Sauvignon.

  1. Interesting, I've never had a full-on Italian Cab...is it 100%?

  2. Good estate. Their indigenous varietal wines are impressive. Never seen this one though.
