Steele Red Hills Lake County 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon

Steele Red Hills Lake County 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon, $16.19-$19.99, 90 points, poured a dark pomegranate red with a shimmering maroon tint and a broad clear wine ring at the leggy glass wall.
Aromatic cedar, toasty blackberry, black currant, and red cherry were very good.
More a medium-bodied Cabernet (this could account for some of the lower scores), but I don't believe that all Cabernet Sauvignon red wines have to be full-bodied; good acidity with mellow supportive tannin carried an intense flavor of cedar with red cherry, black currant, and mint which trailed into the long finish of hot spices and a warm 13.8% alcohol.
