Fish Eye 2013 Pinot Grigio (South Eastern Australia)

Fish Eye 2013 Pinot Grigio (South Eastern Australia), $4.99-$7.99, 86 points, showed between a light brass color and gray to water clear.
Cold aromas of apple, vanilla, and pineapple were very good while as it warmed this PG added dusty floral notes.
Light-bodied with good acidity, but early palate thin with developing flavors of pineapple, tart apple, and bland pear notes.
Finished fair with a well integrated 12.5% alcohol, tart citrus, and hints of ginger.

  1. Once bought a 3 litre box of Fish Eye Pinot grigio as an experiment (pre-blog, would have made a good post). The Fish Eye folks said it would stay fresh for 6 weeks, so VM and I tasted a little bit a day for 6 weeks. And it did indeed stay fresh, in fact we were so bored with it that we threw the rest away!
