Calmel And Joseph Villa Blanche 2014 Chardonnay, $12.99-$15.99, 87 points, poured a straw yellow color.
Aromas were subtle honeysuckle with melon notes.
The moderately crisp medium body with good acidity managed typical Chardonnay neutral flavors, not at all Chablis-like, but with a hint of oak, good enough to be my white table wine of the day.
Finished fair on the trailing palate and an innocuous 13.5% alcohol.
Paired well with my fresh cod-loin in a vegie cheese sauce.
