Argiano 2011 Brunello Montalcino

Argiano 2011 Brunello Montalcino, $50.99-$59.99, 93 points, poured an opaque ruby red with a broad clear wine ring and glass bowl of light draping.
Aromas of roses, cherries, cedar, and truffles were excellent.
Medium-bodied with mouthwatering acidity and firm grainy tannins carried intense flavors reflective of the nose in addition to plum notes.
Finished long on hot spices, oak, spearmint, a hint of iron, and a typical 14.5% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with my spaghetti and meatballs.

    1. VG: Brunello is, in my opinion, in the top five most reliably great red wines.
