Cantina Zaccagnini il vino 'dal tralcetto' 2017 Pinot Grigio (IGT), $12.74-$18.99, 87 points, was a light glossy gold color.
Aromas of apples, evergreen, and citrus notes were pleasant.
This light-bodied white wine with good acidity tried to show the wine's pear and apple flavors, but left that to the Yanny or Laurel conundrum.
Finished fair with watermelon rind, Necco Wafers, ginger, and a soft 12.5% alcohol.

DeleteOkay PG, but the Ruffino was smashing!
Just purchased 36 bottles of Italian wines, including my first Sassicaia! The delight has hardly begun, but I'd rather be with you in Italy!
BTW, I didn't miss the Necco Wafers reference.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for your review of the Sassicaia.
VG: Since I first saw "Sideways" and Maya's epiphany wine was Sassicaia I've wanted to break-the-bank and purchase a bottle of Sassicaia!
