Kris Dellle Venezie 2017 Pinot Grigio, (DOC), $10.99-$11.99, 87 points, poured a light brass color brightening to a water clear midway to the edge of the bowl.
The nose was dominated by sweet apple with a hint of mint.
Appropriately light and acidic with good, though a bit indistinct, flavors of melon rind, kiwi, and lime.
Finished fair on the fading palate, a light ginger note, and an easy off dry 12.5% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with my lemon-pepper roast chicken.

Thud, sorry for accidently deleting your comment ("You are a veritable encyclopedia of Italian wine....great stuff!"), but here is my reply:
ReplyDeleteHa! Thx, but with almost 1,000 varietals and more than a million wineries in Italy, you're too kind of an attribution fits only a handful of people, and I'm not one of them.
I do try and bring a little bit of wine reflection to Manchester, New Hampshire, and if some of that spills-over to Manchester, England, then I'm happy!
Salute!
Dennis, I'd need to drink to visit Manchester here...awful place! you certainly know more about Italian wine than me but I'm prepared to learn more.
ReplyDelete"Sweet apple with a hint of mint" sounds delightful.
ReplyDeleteThud: You are a Renaissance man!
ReplyDeleteVG: Good value PG!
