Elena Walch Alto Adige 2024 Chardonnay DOC, $21.24-$24.99, 91 points, was a medium pale yellow-gold color with a broad gray meniscus.
Aromas of white blossoms, flint, Necco wafers, and a lovely minerality were outstanding.
This DOC Chardonnay was dry, medium-bodied, showed good acidity, and delivered tasty flavors reflective of the nose with bright ginger notes.
Finished long on the ginger and a well-balanced 13% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with my spanakopita and roast chicken.
