Château Les Cadrans de Lassègue Saint-Émilion Grand Cru 2022 Bordeaux Red Wine, $35.69-$44.99, 92 points, poured ruby red with a broad clear meniscus and copious stained legs.
Aromas were fruity, floral, spicy, and herbal with soft cocoa and vanilla notes.
This 2022 was an improvement over the 2015 vintage (see under Les Cadrans), the 2022 was soft and round, full-bodied, opulent, showed fair acidity, an underlayment of supportive tannins, and complex evolving flavors of plums, blackberries, dried cooking herbs, a hint of chocolate and exciting cayenne pepper.
Finished very long, a bit tart, spicy, rich, and with a well-balanced 14.5% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with our Italian 100% Organic Durum Wheat Semolina spaghetti with grass-fed beef tomato sauce.
