Treasured Tensley

Tensley Colson Canyon Vineyard Santa Barbara County 2008 Syrah, $35.51-$43.99, 95 points, has a bouquet of Girl-Scout Cookies, black-berries, crushed pepper, and coffee liquor, rich, luscious, and totally smooth, pleasant throughout palate range, as well as a very long finish.
Tensley has produced and manifested Syrah as Syrah should be: delicious, compelling, and pair-able.
If you want a special wine treat, or a remarkable wine experience, I highly recommend this Rhone-styled wine.

  1. Great reviews Dennis. I'm interested to hear what you would pair the Tensley 2008 Colson Canyon Syrah with. I'll be around New Hampshire in about three weeks now and I'm looking forward to trying some of your newest finds.

  2. Ben, I for two will be looking forward to your vacation!
Just maybe, slight chance at that, but just maybe Ethan will invite me over to his new apartment and will cook for us; I'll bring the wine, and who knows, we just might watch Existenze?
I have Sun. and Mon. off.
My last review was of a white wine from Italy: I just loved it!
The Tensley will go great with a Porter-house, spicy lamb, heavy sauces.
