Mount Veeder Winery Napa Valley 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon,
$31.44-$39.99, 89 points, poured a deep ruby trending blood red with a broad clear meniscus and fat hanging legs.
Smells of mulling spices, a bit of funk, plums, black currents, and Kirsch were complex and interesting if not gloriously fragrant.
Full-bodied red wine, firm grainy tannins, fair to good acidity, and flavors of oak, currants, anise, and wild black cherry were quite good and very robust.
Finished well on white pepper and a balanced 14.5% alcohol with hints of mint and savory.
Paired fine with my spice-rubbed T-bone steak.
