EQ (Equilibrio) Valle Hermoso 2021 Sauvignon Blanc (Chile), $13.50-$17.99, 89 points, was a light brass color beginning to clear midway towards the rim.
Aromas of subtle gooseberry, fresh-cut grass, dried hay, lemon zest, and a touch of sour lime juice were quite good.
A light-bodied tart acidic white wine with flavors reflective of the aromas went beyond what could be expected from a Sauvignon Blanc under $20.00 dollars.
Finished tethered to the gestalt palate, a bit of dusty SB specific grape, a hint of ginger, and a well-balanced 13.5% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with my baked haddock filets, North Atlantic lobster in drawn butter, and my baked white chocolate and macadamia pastry.
