Mastroberardino 2019 Fiano di Avellino (DOCG), $14.44-$16.99, 88 points, was a dull medium yellow gold color and graying toward the rim.
Aromas of subtle lime juice, dusty stone fruit, and mango-tinged white chocolate were very interesting and pleasant.
This Fiano was dry and slightly more than light-bodied with good acidity and tart flavors of citrus, toasted lemon zest, and a spiced gelatin which were somewhat complex and tasty.
Finished anticlimactic but long on the fading palate and a soft 12.5% alcohol.
Paired well with my Maine lobster pie.
