Rusack Santa Maria Valley Bien Nacido Vineyard 2019 Chardonnay, $15.99-$39.99, 89 points, was a light yellow/gold color with a broad clear meniscus.
The dominate aromas of lemon/lime juice were nuanced with pome blossoms, orange zest, and hints of cantaloupe (nice).
This Rusack 2019 Chardonnay was moderately oaked, medium-bodied, showed fair to good acidity, olfactory flavors struggling to penetrate the oak ramparts, and a touch of ginger.
Finished quite long on the fading palate, a bit tart, and delivering a well-balanced 14% alcohol.
Paired fine with my rotisserie chicken.
