Louis Latour Château Corton Grancey Grand Cru 2009 Red Burgundy Wine, $93.49-$109.49, 94 points, appears as a bright candy-apple red with a broad transparent rim at the leggy glass wall.
Aromatic sea-breeze, warm earth, and light red cherry, on the nose was splendid.
The near medium body of good acidity and light, but persistent tannin carried clean flavors of fresh strawberries, floral notes, red and black cherries.
Finishes quite long on a trailing palate, a touch of heat (14% alcohol), and an exciting red pepper spice.
Sadly, the five of us had to share the one bottle, but all of us agreed this was a special wine.
