Aromatic cedar, black currants, smoky mulberry, and a floral perfume were lovely.
Full-bodied with good acidity and a drink-now layer of tannin translated the aromas onto the palate.
Finished long on white pepper, blueberry, a hint of Rosemary, and a balanced 14.2% alcohol.

Gary Farrell 'Russian River Selection' Russian River Valley Sonoma County 2015 Chardonnay, $29.74-$39.99, 93 points, poured a deep glossy gold color clearing to a blue/grey penumbra.
Lovely aromas of dusty tangerine peel, lemon, pome blossoms, and soft oak notes were outstanding.
Medium-plus body, perfectly textured by a soft crispness, with mouthwatering acidity carried not only flavors reflective of the aromas and an excellent wet stoniness, but carried the Cali Chardonnay day.
Finished long and slightly tropical, slightly tart, and refreshingly lemon/lime with faint oak notes and a well-balanced 13.8% alcohol.
Paired fine with my spinach pie.

Château Vignot Saint-Émilion Grand Cru 2010 Bordeaux Red Wine, $25.49-$61.99, 85 points, poured broadly black with a brownish/red penumbra followed by a bleeding clear wine ring.
The aromas were unsatisfying prune and shoe polish with a bit of the barnyard to boot.
Full-bodied with good acidity and a supportive underlayment of tannin conveyed over-ripe black fruit, prune, marzipan and a dribble of citrus flavors.
Finished on the fading palate, light white pepper notes, and a well balanced 14% alcohol.
Honestly, not my cup of tea, but I can see some rustic-plus old timers enjoying this wine.
Actually paired okay with our cheese burgers.

Pauillac Grand Vin 2010 Bordeaux Red Wine, $18.49-$31.99, 88 points, poured core black grading a lovely purple/red toward the clear wine ring and densely draped stained glass wall.
Smells of Bordeaux lily and cedar were pleasant.
Full-bodied with good acidity and an early supportive layer of mellow tannins managed subtle medicinal plum and red raspberry flavors.
Finished softly on the trailing palate, late developing touch of wooly tannins, black pepper, earth, citrus, and a spot-on 13% alcohol.
Paired well with my spiced Australian rack of lamb.

Lemelson Vineyards Thea's Selection 2015 Pinot Noir, $25.49-$31.99, 91 points, poured a rainbow of mulberry-purple colors, a broad clear meniscus, and fat stained legs.
Aromatic floral mixed red-fruit jam was delightful and spectacular.
The medium-plus body with good acidity and a comfortable plank of tannin supported a generous cornucopia of cherry fruit flavors.
Finished with finesse on white pepper, subtle oak notes, accelerating tannins, and a spot-on 13.5% alcohol.
Paired well with our pepperoni/sausage pizza.

Housley's Century Oak Winery Napa Valley 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon, $21.24-$49.99, 90 points, poured an impregnable purple/red grading brighter toward the clear wine ring and lightly draped glass bowl.
Pleasant aromas of blackberries, boysenberry jam, roses, and cedar were lovely.
Full bodied with good acidity and a moderately supportive underlayment of tannin delivered flavors of plum, a touch of oak, and an easy blackberry liqueur segued seamlessly into a long finish nuanced with pepper spices, licorice, and a well-balanced 14.2% alcohol.
Paired fine with our Ollie's pizza.

A To Z Wineworks Oregon 2016 Pinot Gris, $13.99-$16.99, 88 points, poured a light brass color.
The pleasant aromas were faint pomelo and white blossoms.
Light-bodied with fair acidity delinquently developed flavors of lemon/lime, cilantro, and an energized ginger all unfolding toward an intensifying finish marked by a spot-on 13% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with my deep fried Atlantic sea scallops.
