Capanna SanGioBi 2024 Toscana White Sangiovese IGT, $21.25-$28.00, 91 points, was a light brass color with a broad translucent gray meniscus.
Aromas were light dusty zests of orange and lemon with Apocynaceae flowers, and minerality.
This, my first white Sangiovese wine showed light-bodied, dry, brightly acidic, and delivering a tropical fruit profile with nuanced citrus and ginger notes (interesting, unusual, and tasty).
Finished with flavors of kiwi, strawberry, and bright white pepper with a spot-on 12.5% alcohol.
Paired well with both my sardines in olive oil and my rotisserie chicken.
