Kono Marlborough 2018 Sauvignon Blanc, $8.99, 86 points, was the lightest brass color grading water clear.
The gooseberry aroma dominated, but a grassy note played peek-a-boo.
Light-bodied white wine with good acidity showed up front Necco wafer followed by flavors reflective of the aromas; mid palate was weak, but finished fair on ginger, tropical fruit, and a soft 12.5% alcohol.
Paired fine with Maine lobster roll.
