Château Bailly Pessac-léognan Grand Cru Classé 2015 Bordeaux Red, $108.79-$127.99, 97 points, poured core black grading to a blood red toward the bright/clear meniscus and fat hanging stained legs.
Lovely cornucopia of fruit and flowers nuanced with savory aromas were amazing.
Full-bodied dry red wine which was up-front quite satiny on the mouth and showed good acidity with fine and favorable tannins.
Flavors mirrored the aromas with nutmeg, mint, and black currants.
Finished very long with ascending pepper spices, cinnamon, plum, and a warm 14% alcohol.
Varietals were 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, and 4% Petit Verdot.
I satisfactorily paired this wine with several different cuisines, but found the wine so good, I just wanted to drink it solo.
