Domaine Cherrier 2018 Sancerre

Domaine Cherrier 2018 Sancerre, $18.99, 90 points, poured the lightest of gold colors with clearing toward the rim.
Aromatic zest of mandarin orange and lemon with hints of guava, fresh mountain streams, and pome blossoms were excellent.
Light-bodied white wine with bright acidity and flavors reminiscent of the aromas, plus an aftertaste of melon rind.
Finished very long on the trailing palate, a finessed touch of ginger, and a perfect 13.5% alcohol.
Paired well with my fried Ipswich clams.

  1. I love, "...fresh mountain streams," I can almost taste this Sancerre :)

  2. It was a delight, and what is unusual for me, is I paid full price, as it was the only Sancerre the wine store had.
