Condé Predappio 2013 Sangiovese Riserva, $28.99-$41.99, 90 points, poured an opaque ruby/red with russet highlights, a thin clear meniscus, and sticky glass sheeting.
Aromas of soft shoe polish, earthy notes, cinnamon, ripe red cherry, and a floral vibe were deep and fragrant.
This Italian Sangiovese was sourced a bit north of Sangiovese's more well know Chianti region and was more robust and showed many tertiary flavors, notable notes were coffee, cinnamon, and earth which accented anise, iron, and cherry fruit flavors.
Finished long, spicy, and with a balanced 14% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with our spaghetti and meatballs.
