Máté 2007 Brunello di Montalcino Revisited 13 years later, $42.83-$58.99, 95 points, poured a deep ruby/red with an orange sheen, a copper penumbra, bleeding meniscus, and fat stained-legs.
The lovely herbal aromas were nuanced with subtle whisky, coffee, and tobacco notes.
The body of this wine has become more full-bodied than I remember, the flavors have matured to match the bouquet, turned sleek, clean, with delicate anise, plum and spice notes, showed appropriate acidity and resolved tannins.
Finished long on the fading palate, iron, and a well-balanced 15% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with our chicken parmesan.
