Brancaia 2022 Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG, $36.54-$47.99, 95 points, poured a dark cranberry red with pink highlights, a clear meniscus, and copious thin but stained legs.
The lovely aromas of cinnamon infused red cherry, black tea, and freshly laundered linen impressed.
This Chianti Classico Riserva was near full-bodied, bone-dry, showed good acidity, fine grainy tannins, and tasty flavors reflective of the aromas with accenting cayenne pepper, and hints of chocolate, floral notes, and red raspberry.
Finished very long on the trailing palate and a well-balanced 14% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with our spaghetti and beef meatballs.
