Clos Du Val Napa Valley 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Revisited, $22.94-$39.99 (current price $59.99), 93 points, poured ruby red with a bleeding meniscus tinted with a touch of orange/red, and stained-glass sheeting.
The aromas were perfumed shoe polish, ripe plums, sweet underbrush, iodine, and a hint of milk chocolate.
This sixteen-year-old Napa Cab was a rich full-body with a round soft mouthfeel, fair acidity, softened tannins, unctuous with tasty flavors reflective of the aromas with subtle pepper notes.
Finished long on the trailing palate with hints of black licorice and iron; alcohol was a mellow 13.5%.
Paired perfectly with my Texas burger.
