Maison Louis Latour Grand Vin De Bourgogne Vosne-Romanée 2009 Red Burgundy

Louis Latour Vosne-Romanée Grand Vin De Bourgogne 2009 Red Burgundy, $59.49-$69.99, 93 points, begins in the glass as a pure transparent pomegranate red with a broad clear rim.
Gentle floral notes with red cherry complement warm earth smells.
Medium bodied with clean Burgundy mineral notes, mouth-watering acidity, persistently light tannin, predominately strawberry and pomegranate fruit with hints of cola, are purely delicious.
A long lively finish carries the trailing palate of this quite dry red wine, and transitions into a climax of mouth-tingling white pepper.

  1. Good run of Pinot noirs, this one sounds really nice...and I'm surprised that the Neipperger Schlossberg was so good (have had no luck with German Pinot noirs).

    1. V-girl, the only other score I "could" find was "Wine Searcher's 89 points, but that put the two of us in the same ball-park!

  2. Now this one looks great. Going to try and find a price on this one, if they have it here. What would you pair it with? /Ben

    1. Ben, I had mine with Baby-backs, but I would drink this with anything 8-) Pork loin, rib-eye, turkey or chicken with gravy or without-this is a very versatile wine, and I think tuna steaks or swordfish, salmon or trout. will even pair with it; If you find this, let me know what you think!
