Beringer 'Estate' Sonoma Coast 2014 Pinot Noir

Beringer 'Estate' Sonoma Coast 2014 Pinot Noir, $15.29-$34.99, 87 points, poured a bright sienna color with a broad clear wine ring and a moderately to heavily draped glass bowl.
Aromatic toasty and dusty red cherry aroma was nuanced with a more varietal-specific PN grape.
Medium-bodied with good acidity and a mellow underlayment of tannin carried interesting flavors of peat, cherry fruit, and a ginger-spiked ripe red raspberry.
Finished fair on the trailing palate, a hint of white pepper, and a potent 14.9% alcohol.
