Frog's Leap "Estate" Rutherford 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon

Frog's Leap "Estate" Rutherford 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon, $42.49-$59.99, 94 points, poured core black slowly grading a deep purple/red at the broad clear wine ring and exceptionally thick legs.
Profuse smoky black fruit and a hint of sandalwood on the nose were excellent.
Full-bodied with good acidity and velvety tannins managed delectable black currant, plum, mulling spice, and cola flavors.
Finished long on white pepper, a hint of pomegranate, savory, mulberry, and a cool 13.6% alcohol.
Ushering in a great celebration of the American Independence Day with a great American wine is quite cool too.

  1. I will endeavour to drink something 'domestic' myself for your Independence day! Perhaps from Oakville :)

    1. VG: Have you tasted the Groth Oakville-Napa Valley 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve yet?
This one hasn't made its way onto NH shelves yet!
