Shannon Ridge 'Home Ranch' Lake County California Reserve 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon, $13.59-$34.99, 89 points, poured core black grading deep purple/red (more red than purple) toward the broad clear wine ring and moderately heavy legs.
Smells of mulberry, blueberry, red raspberry, and a cedar garnish were pleasant.
Near full-bodied with good acidity and a sure comfortable plank of tannin carried an earthy influence to the flavors reflective of the aromas.
Finished long on the trailing palate, a hint of mint, easy pepper spices, plum, and a potent 14.2% alcohol.
