Château Canon-la-Gaffelière Premier Grand Cru Classé de Saint-Émilion 2015 Bordeaux Red Wine, $89.97-$105.49, 96 points, poured deep purple/reds with a clear meniscus and heavy stained tears.
Aromatic lavender, red cherry, ripe blackberry, and milk chocolate were absolutely lovely.
Full-bodied with bright acidity and manageable fine-grained tannins delivered the aromas onto the palate harmoniously with mulling spices and cola.
Finished very long on a whisper of oak, black tea, red licorice, loam, plum, iron, developing pepper spices, and a well-integrated 14% alcohol.

"Mulling spices" so seasonal, sounds fab.
ReplyDeleteVG: Fab for sure! And will be in twenty years.
