Claude Riffault Les Boucauds 2017 Sancerre

Claude Riffault Les Boucauds 2017 Sancerre, $19.54-$24.99, 93 points, was a light yellow-gold color fading toward the glass shallows.
Beautiful floral aromas were nuanced with lively peach.
Light, appropriately acidic, and silky smooth white wine showed complex flavors with standout peach, wet stoniness, and lemon grass.
Finished long with escalating ginger notes, and a spot-on 13% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with my Skipjack tuna salad.

  1. Some of the best wines I have ever enjoyed have been Sancerres...this sounds delightful.
