Taylor 10 Year Old Tawny Port Bottled $19.99-$25.99, 92 points, poured true to its name, 'tawny', but a burnt orange caramel color could also describe this vibrant Port.
Aromatic toasty sweet mandarin caramel wafted far from my glass.
Full-bodied with good acidity and a soft backbone of tannin supported flavors reflective of the aromas, only totally energized by warm to hot alcohol (20%) infused pepper spices.
Finished long on the trailing palate and enduring warm melted caramel, peat, and bourbon-like wood notes.
A great complement to our dark chocolate dessert.
