Damilano Lecinquevigne 2015 Barolo (DOCG), $33.99-$41.99, 92 points, poured a deep cranberry red with a clear meniscus, an orange penumbra, and sticky stained legs dripping from sheets.
Aromas were soft floral notes, black tea, and a hint of shoe polish.
Medium-bodied bone-dry red wine with bright acidity, firm grainy tannins, and substantial flavors of red fruit, black tea, iron, and cherry cola were lively and intense.
Finished forever on the 14.5% infused trailing palate, citrus, and cayenne pepper.
Paired perfectly with my veggie pizza.
