Artesa Los Carneros 2019 Chardonnay, $16.99-$21.99, 88 points, showed a bit viscus and was a medium straw yellow with a bronze sheen and a gray meniscus.
Aromas were weak but hints of dusty tangerine and mint were good.
Artesa gave us a medium-bodied dry white wine with good acidity and up-front weak flavors buoyed by late developing flavors reflective of the aromas and bright ginger all of which carried deep into the long finish with a sense of wet stone minerality and a remarkably restrained 13.1% alcohol.
Paired fine with my roast chicken.
