Cline North Coast 2021 Viognier, $8.49-$11.99 (same price as ten years ago), 86 points, was slightly viscous showing a medium straw yellow color with a broad gray penumbra.
On first pour a fleeting tropical fruit aroma was propitious, but quickly settled to a dusty nondescript citrus.
This Viognier was more a medium-bodied dry white wine with interesting flavors of sweet apple, Lychee nut, and peaches.
Finished fair on the fading palate with a hint of ginger and a rather big 14.5% alcohol.
Paired okay with my chicken club sandwich.
