Aromas of faint hints of cantaloupe, lemon meringue pie, a whisper of oak, and Chardonnay specific grape were okay.
This was a nearly full-bodied dry white wine, juicy, complex, showing fair to good acidity, and dynamic flavors of lemon juice, green melon rind, orange and pomelos flesh, white pepper, and a hint of smoky wood.
Finished quite long on the trailing palate and a well-balanced 14.1% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with my spice-rubbed baked porterhouse pork chops.
