Sensi 18K Pure Gold 2014 Brut Prosecco (Veneto, Italy)

Sensi 18K Pure Gold 2014 Brut Prosecco (Veneto, Italy), $17.99-$22.99, 93 points, was the best Prosecco I've had.
I want to point out some aspects of this Prosecco that contrasts to most others I've tasted; it is a vintage wine (Grapes grown and vinified only in one season), Brut (Very dry), creamy, fruit forward (pear, apple, and apricot), vanilla notes with more and smaller bubbles than I'm used to.
The nose was a gentle floral, but almost perfume like aroma with a hint of olives and apples.
Typically crisp with good acidity, this light-bodied white wine totally surpassed my pairing challenge of wine with sardines.
Finished long on the trailing palate and the well integrated 11% alcohol.
A little more expensive than most, but certainly worth it!
Also typical was the light brass color trending clear at the glass shallows.

  1. Sounds lovely, not so sure about the packaging though (I'm shallow like that).

  2. VG: It was marvelous!
I doubt that qualifies as a "shallow" descriptor! ;-)
OK, here it goes: Mircosoft "Photogallery"-View file, retouch, (upper menu), highlight my bald head, and presto chang-o, gone!
If you don't have Photogallery: Get it! I think it's free, and for most photo corrections works much easier than Photoshop.

  3. Does it have gold flakes in it?
