Domaine Vincent Delaporte a Chavignol Loire, France 2016 Sancerre, $16.69-$19.99, 92 points, poured a light gold color.
Perfumed aromas of pome blossoms and lemon grass with a hint of gooseberry were excellent.
The Light body was crisply acidic and carried aroma-mirrored flavors deftly in a wash of minerality.
Finished long on the trailing palate, citrus notes, ginger, and an easy 13% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with my Maritime steamed lobster in drawn butter, and apple pie.
