Mercer Yakima Valley 2013 Riesling

Mercer Yakima Valley 2013 Riesling, $9.99-$14.99, 90 points, poured a deep gold color with a coppery cast.
Aromas of sweet pear, Granny smith apple, and a hint of petrol were outstanding.
The quite dry white wine manifested late palate and into the finish, body was light-plus and supple, and the acidity was good.
Flinty flavored Riesling with touches of pear, apple, and petrol.
Finished long on the trailing palate and a potent 13.3% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with our Yellow-fin tuna salad and chips.

  1. This sounds fab! Are you getting to like the petrol component in Riesling more?

    1. VG: Ha! Apropos question; TDN in the smallest amount does add a bit of complexity, but my acceptable threshold is semi-comatose.
