Château Kirwan Margaux 2015 Bordeaux Red Wine, $47.14-$55.49, 91 points, poured an opaque ruby red with a maroon penumbra, clear meniscus, and moderate stained fat legs.
Aromas of lavender and black currants, though a bit herbaceous and bit earthy with a hint of cocoa, were excellent.
Near full-bodied dry red wine showed good acidity and wooly grainy tannins.
Flavors of red fruit, eucalyptus, and dry cooking herbs were complex and delicious.
Finished long on pepper spices, the fading palate, and a spot-on 13.5% alcohol.
