Château Montlabert Saint-Émilion Grand Cru 2016 Bordeaux Red Wine

Château Montlabert Saint-Émilion Grand Cru 2016 Bordeaux Red Wine, $23.79-$27.99, 93 points,  poured an opaque ruby red with a garnet red penumbra, a broad clear meniscus, and fat hanging legs.
Intense aromas of currant fruit, roasted plums, chocolate, dried herbs, and loam were excellent.
A full-bodied dry red wine with firm fine grainy tannins and flavors righteously reflective of the aromas with a touch of mint managed to impress.
Finished long on the trailing palate, anise, and a potent though balanced 14.5% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with my spice-rubbed Porterhouse steak with all the typical side dishes, including baked asparagus.
