Clayhouse Adobe Pink 2011 Rosé, about $11.70-$16.25, 86+ points, appears peach orange at the core and transitions to a very broad watery edge.
The nose is a bit flat, but some strawberry and alcohol (13.5%) surface.
The light-plus body has good acidity and a fairly smooth texture that compliments this wine warm rather than cold, which argues contrary to summer-time libation refreshment, and is off-dry.
Flavors of strawberry, watermelon, and kiwi are good.
Varietals are 38% Mourvèdre, 37% Grenache Noir, and 25% Syrah.
Finishes on a diminishing palate with a hint of spice.
