La Lecciaia 2010 Brunello Di Montalcino Riserva (DOCG), $38.24-$47.99, 93 points, poured a deep sienna color brightening to a copper/red at the clear wine ring and the clinging curtain of heavy tears.
Aromatic soft oak nose was nuanced with roses and black tea.
Medium-bodied with good acidity and a perfect plank of tannins presented the Sangiovese grape in a display of straight-forward and delicious blending of oak-imbued cherry fruit fired-up into a potent 14.5% alcohol inspirited spiciness.

Codice Vino De La Tierra De Castilla 2011 Tempranillo, $8.99-$11.99, 87 points, poured core black grading an opaque sienna color with a clear wine ring and a bowl of moderate draping.
Soft smells of Kirsch, leather, and a floral vibe were good.
The medium body and acidity with tannins which were a bit thin at this point, exhibited a quaffing dry red wine character.
Flavors were reflective of the aromas, and were carried into the fair finish of easy spices and a well-balanced 14% alcohol.
Paired fine with my Mexican cuisine.

Rozès Porto 2000 Vintage Port, $34.99-$79.99, 90 points, poured a deep cloudy cranberry red with a bleeding broad rim and dense hanging legs.
Aromatic raisins, plums, and blackberry liqueur were rich.
Full-bodied with fair acidity and an underlayment of soft supportive tannins delivered brandy-packed flavors reflective of the aromas, and did so surprisingly smoothly, making for a rather quaffable 'wine' of 20% alcohol.
Finished long and spicy on the trailing palate, and paired perfectly with my British Sticky Toffee Pudding dessert.
The more I taste Port, the more I enjoy and see the value of it: a 'wine' that keeps you company for at least a month without degrading into something unpalatable; a 'wine' that may be sipped, partners well with almost anything chocolate (good-for-you chocolate), savory meats, and cheese; Port can be so good as to garner the highest praises from wine reviewers, which to me means value and refinement; and if I were to only occasionally drink red wine, it would definitely be port (JMO)!
