Tenuta di Biserno IL Pino Toscana 2012 Red Wine (IGT), $50.99-$59.99, 92 points, poured broadly black with a more red than purple penumbra adjacent to the clear rim and leggy bowl.
Aromatic plum, cedar, loam, and cocoa were excellent.
Full-bodied with good acidity and fine grainy supportive tannins delivered a tasty cherry cola flavor complementing the aroma-reflective flavors.
Finished long and spicy on the trailing palate, a hint of mint, and a well integrated 14% alcohol.
Bordeaux-styled varietals were 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 20% Petit Verdot.
