Bearboat Russian River 2010 Syrah,
$8.49-$19.99, 89 points, appeared purple/red with a slight pink hue and a thin clear rim.
I sensed a lovely roasted coffee, orange peel, and blueberry on the nose, but the back label says "red raspberry and toasty vanilla".
Medium bodied with good acidity and moderate tannin carried the good flavors of the aromas with tart plum.
Finished long with just a touch of the 13.8 alcohol, white pepper, and cola.
Lovely easy drinking red wine should pair well with lightly spiced foods, mellow sauces, and corn fed beef (great deal at the NH liquor outlet power-buy price). Drinks well by itself too.
