Schlink Haus Auslese 2011 White Wine (Germany)

Schlink Haus Auslese 2011 White Wine (Germany), $8.81-$13.99, 84 points, appeared brightly light gold in color.
Green melon rind with hints of grapefruit, perfume, and petrol on the nose struggled to elevate the aroma, one that improved with air.
Grapefruit and tangerine flavors were okay, but seemed to overwhelm more subtle flavors, and was just too sweet for this white wine and for me.
Near medium body carried mouth watering acidity, but the finish managed only to represent the trailing palate without accent, while the 10.5% alcohol was almost unnoticeable.
Varietals were  Riesling, Muller-Thurgau, Bacchus, and Scheurebe. .
