Spellbound 2008 Petite Sirah, $10.19-$15.99, 87 points, appears almost black trending maroon toward the clear rim.
The nose was intense violets with hints of saltwater taffy, licorice, and leather.
Medium-plus body carried good acidity with moderate-plus tannin.
Flavors were faithful to the nose, and finished fair with tart pomegranate, blueberry, spearmint, spice, and a well integrated 13.5% alcohol.
