Lake Sonoma Winery Dry Creek Valley 2010 Zinfandel

Lake Sonoma Winery Dry Creek Valley 2010 Zinfandel, $15.99-$19.99, 90 points, began an almost blood red trending brick red toward the broad transparent rim ring.
Blackberry and mint with a touch of cedar and clove on the nose was pleasant.
Near full-bodied with fair acidity, mild-plus tannin, and alcohol (14.9%) carried caramel, blackberry, and eucalyptus flavors.
Finished long on the trailing palate with spice and some heat.
Admittedly, this was a rather difficult wine to pick-apart: I sipped, paired (Chili and Pistachios), and tasted for over 2 hours with a somewhat declining favorability; from the nose to the flavor profile, and even the 'weight' of it, but for-sure the Lake Sonoma was a worthy Zin with plenty of gusto and good flavors, but this is not one to let sit for long when once opened and poured. I really needed the taste-buds of a VG to help with this one ;-)
