Lagaria delle Venezie IGT 2014 Pinot Grigio

Lagaria delle Venezie IGT 2014 Pinot Grigio, $11.99-$13.99, 88 points, poured a  light golden color.
First whiffs were pineapple and grapefruit, but quickly settled-down to orange peel and a lovely floral component.
Light-bodied, good acidity, and a straight-forward tart flavor of orange peel with hints of honeydew melon and ginger.
Finished fair on the trailing palate and an innocuous 12.5% alcohol.
Paired well with my buttered dipped North Atlantic lobster tails.

  1. I bought this wine to celebrate Vinogirl's European trip, thinking she would be scooting around a bit, and knowing how Italian wines would be a key aspect of that trip, but alas she's been side-tracked; I hope she gets better!
