HandCraft Artisan Collection 2013 Petite Sirah, $5.89-$9.99, 89 points, poured widely black grading to a Shiraz purple red toward the bleeding meniscus, thin clear wine ring, and dense stained legs.
Aromas were soft floral black fruits with nuanced dusty plum.
Full-bodied red wine with a soft round palate, good acidity, and a supportive underlayment of tannin.
Flavors of tangy red raspberry, mulberry, and other fruity goodness dominated licorice and a hint of cilantro.
Finished with a 14.5% energizing alcohol, warm pepper spices, red cherry, a bit chalky, but quite delicious.
Paired perfectly with my barbequed baby-back rips would be an understatement.
