Castello di Verrazzano 2016 Chianti Classico DOCG (Revisited), $14.44-$19.99, 90 points, poured a deep ruby red with a clear meniscus and light clear legs.
Aromas were floral red fruit with cooking herbs and eucalyptus.
Medium-bodied red wine with bright acidity firm grainy tannins, and generous flavors reflective of the aromas.
Finished long on mint, bay-leaf, red cherry, easy white pepper, and a spot-on 14% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with my peperoni pizza.
